Personal Success coaching for professionals working abroad - French · Spanish · U.S. English

You know the language.
So why did the whole room just go quiet?
You took the classes. You know the grammar. And somehow you still said something at the boulangerie that made everyone look at you funny, and you genuinely have no idea what happened. That's not a learning problem.

I help professionals working or living abroad speak with real confidence — not textbook French, not textbook Spanish, not textbook English. The stuff you'll actually hear, and the culture underneath it, so you can stop replaying the conversation over and over again.

Whether it's your job that brought you here or you came along for a new adventure, this is for you.

THE REAL PROBLEM

You don't need more textbook language.    You need the stuff nobody taught you.

Like what people actually say! How to sound like a human instead of a vocabulary quiz. What that expression actually means.

  • What people actually say, not what the textbook says
  • How to sound natural instead of rehearsed
  • What an expression really means, culturally, not just literally
  • How communication changes depending on who's in the room

  • How to handle the moment you did not see coming
  • How to hold your own with colleagues, clients, customers, and in social situations
  • How to feel solid even when you don't have every answer

Why it's not just vocabulary

Language is only half the story.

You can speak fluent French or English and still walk out of a meeting wondering what just happened. You can nail your Spanish grammar and still miss the actual point of the conversation. Language lessons get you started but won't tell you what people actually say. Culture shows you the path underneath language and how people communicate. I teach both, because one without the other just keeps you on the outside looking in.

Real Talk

The expressions and conversational habits you'll actually hear in everyday life — not what the textbook swears people say.

Work Talk

Meetings, clients, colleagues, networking, and the moment you need the right words yesterday, not five minutes after the conversation ends.

Confidence

Knowing a language and feeling confident using it are two different things. Perfect isn't the goal. Staying in the conversation is.

The Unwritten Rules

The expectations and communication styles nobody explains, until you've already broken one and everyone's just looking at you.

Practice for Real

We rehearse the actual situation you're dreading, then I tell you exactly what to say and do differently next time.

SPANISH

A particular focus on Mexican Spanish — the expressions, communication styles and cultural nuances you won't find in a textbook.

FRENCH

For professionals living and working in France who want to move beyond classroom French into natural, real-life communication.

ENGLISH

For international professionals who need to communicate confidently in U.S. workplaces and everyday situations.

I've been there!
Believe me! I've moved around since I was a child. I've lived in four countries at different stages of my life which is why I can relate to all stages of expatriation, and have a profound appreciation for different cultures and languages.

I found my way into this work at 18, almost by accident, subbing an ESL class, and I never looked back. Since then I've taught French, Spanish and English in High Schools, Community Colleges, and Language Centers in Mexico, the U.S., Canada, Ecuador and France. I earned a Master's in International & Intercultural Communication, and lived the exact confusion I now coach people through — Mexico, the U.S., Canada, and more than two decades in France.

I've stood in the boulangerie with all the right words and none of the right instincts. I've carried that particular backpack of rocks — the embarrassment, the second-guessing, the "wait, did I really just say that?" — and I built this practice to help you set yours down faster than I did.
Ready to stop guessing?
Tell me where you are, where you're headed, and what's actually tripping you up. We'll figure out your next step.
